I'll spare you the long explanation about why Washington State Water quality continues to decline. Witnessing it in the last fifteen years is enough for me. Now the Legislatures in Olympia are contemplating not voting for HB 1614 and SB 5518, in order to save money. The Average Joe or Jane Blow in Washington State wants something done about the quality of our waters, and they want it now! Voting for these bills are probably one way of ensuring that our children drink clean water and breath clean air. Is that asking for too much?
